Redness typically occurs on the face and symptoms that are initially noticed include blushing or facial flushing and this becomes more frequent and results in constant redness. Sufferers may also notice visible broken blood vessels and capillaries, this is known as telangiectasia. Small red bumps and pustules may also occur as the condition progresses. These occur due to constant inflammation and irritation within the skin.
