"Prior to meeting Karen Bowen I had IPL treatment at another clinic for skin pigmentation, but with little or nothing to show for it. When I asked how many more IPL sessions I would need (I’d had five or six already) to get the results I wanted, the young girl administering the treatment cranked up the intensity and burnt my face.
It looked like I had a zebra-crossing on each cheek – embarrassing to say the least! I had to wear a hat and cover my cheeks with my hair for about six weeks afterwards. The clinic responsible did the bare minimum to fix the problem they had created, giving me two ‘free’ IPL sessions to reduce the stripes, but I felt like a problem they wanted to be rid of quickly rather than someone they wanted to help.
