WE OFFER FOUR TYPES OF NEEDLING METHODS
KAREN TREATMENTS
Skin Needling Perth
These treatments work by stimulating the body’s own healing process and leading to the regeneration of collagen and elastin within the skin. The renewal of collagen and elastin provides a plump appearance to the skin and will reduce visible signs of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as working to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores.
Skin needling has also been scientifically proven to aid in the breaking down of scar tissue, and will significantly improve the appearance of scarring caused by inflammatory skin conditions like acne, or scarring that is the result of cuts or lacerations. After 41 years in the industry and extensive research, Karen Bowen uses only the highest quality micro-medical skin needling equipment to ensure optimum results. The clinic offers a number of skin needling methods including: Dermaroller, Dermastamp, Rejuvastamp and Deep Needling.
Upon consultation Karen and the team will suggest which method of skin needling will provide the most effective means of skin rejuvenation for you. Karen has been performing skin needling since it was first introduced globally in the year 2000. Skin Needling stimulates the skin to regenerate and repair itself, and will create smoother, healthier and plumper looking skin.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this treatment hurt?
Karen Bowen Dermal Therapist ensures the application of a topical anaesthetic gel that works to reduce pain and discomfort. Prior to the commencement of the procedure the anaesthetic is thoroughly cleansed off the skin.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments suggested will range depending on the skin concern that is being treated. As a rough guide, our team suggests starting with a minimum of 4 treatments, occurring 4-6 weeks apart. However, more advanced skin issues may require up to 8 treatments.
When will I see results?
Collagen and elastin regeneration takes up to 6-12 months. Therefore, the team at Karen Bowen Dermal Therapist advises that the most significant improvements will be noticed 6-12months following your course of treatments.
What will my skin look like after the treatment?
Every client will respond differently to treatment and will have a different rate at which their skin heals. Immediately following the treatment patients typically experience localised erythema (redness) and possible oedema (swelling). A very small amount of bleeding can occur at the time of treatment but will resolve almost immediately following the treatment. The skin may feel hot and tight (similar to sun burn), and some clients experience brief stinging when applying products 1-3 days after. Skin will take 7-14 days to heal entirely following treatment. Specific after-care instructions will be provided by our team and should be followed to ensure effective recovery.
